This Phone warning light has no lamp inside any more, just everlasting high intensity red leds.
The unit is powered by a 12 volt DC 1A external power supply that is included in the delivery.
To set up the Phone Light, you'll need to follow these steps:
Prepare Components:
- Obtain a stereo cable, a latching switch (if not using GPO output), a barrier strip, and a power adapter.
- Ensure you have wall mounting hardware if you plan to mount the Phone Light on a wall.
Wiring Process:
- Take one end of the stereo cable and connect it to either the latching switch or the GPO output from your equipment (e.g., GSM).
- If using a latching switch, ensure it is wired correctly for on/off control.
- Inside the Phone Light unit, locate the barrier strip.
- Connect the other end of the stereo cable to the appropriate terminals on the barrier strip. This will provide the signal to activate the Phone Light.
- Wire the power adapter directly to the barrier strip, ensuring correct polarity and voltage.
Mounting:
- If you intend to mount the Phone Light on a wall, use the cable entry hole and key slot holes on the backside for secure installation.
- Choose a location for mounting that is visible and easily accessible.
Testing:
- Once all wiring is completed and the Phone Light is mounted, test its functionality.
- Activate the latching switch or trigger the GPO output from your equipment to see if the light illuminates.
- If the light does not turn on, double-check your wiring connections and ensure that power is reaching the unit.
